OBITUARY: The Belleville Telescope, September 27, 1962

William Floyd Kuhn, son of David and Susan Kuhn was born on April 12, 1887 at Mound City, Mo., and passed away on September 15, 1962 at the age of 75 years, five months and three days. The family moved to Belleville in 1905 where he attended Belleville high school.

He was united in marriage to Martha Pearl Ball on February 23, 1910. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1960. They had farmed near Belleville until moving to Belleville in 1953 and he had since worked at the Belleville Lumber Yard.

After moving to Belleville they transferred their church letters to the Methodist church from the Church of the Brethern in which they had been diligent workers for many years.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Pearl of the home, one daughter, Helen Kelley and her husband, Ralph, one granddaughter, Sharon Dolozal and her husband, Morris of Belleville, one grandson and his wife Dixie of Topeka, one sister, Anna Kuhn of Bellevile, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 18, 1962 at 10 a.m. at the First Methodist church in Belleville with the Rev. J. Karl Jones officiating. Interment was in the Church of the Brethern cemetery.
