ROBERTSON
Andrew Dewey Robertson, 85, of Centerville, died Wednesday afternoon, May 8, 1985, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Centerville. He was born July 23, 1899 in Wright Township, Wayne County, Iowa, the son of Andrew W. and Rosa Taylor Robertson.
He was united in marriage to Isabella Anderson, Feb. 29, 1940 in Albia. She preceded him in death in 1977.
In partnership with his brother, Homer, Dewey owned and operated the General Store in Confidence for many years. He later moved to Centerville. He was a member of the Sunnyslope Church of Christ at Confidence and the Elks Lodge in Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister, Leta L. Green. He is survived by his brother, W. H. Robertson, a niece, Dorothy Green, and a nephew, Dean W. Green, all of Centerville.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 10, 1985 at the Johnson-Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Rev. Douglas Oelke and Howard Vincent conducting. Interment was at the Confidence Cemetery.
