Info from Valley View area veteran's book, civilwar.gratzpa.org/page/155 indicates he was the father of Solomon Eyster and believed to be the first minister of St. John's [Kimmel's] Lutheran Church, Barry Twp., Schuylkill County, Pa., and having served from 1816-1826, however no documentation was given for this information.
Also taken from son Solomon's war records indicates that George's death was about the time of wife Sarah's filing for pension based on her son's service, 1879 although 1876 is clearly visible on marker.
