Funeral services will be held here for Homer James Eddy, 36, and his wife, Dorothy, 35, former Beaumont residents who were killed Sunday about 2 a.m. in an automobile accident near New Braunfels in which two other persons also lost their lives. Mr. and Mrs. Eddy, who moved to Austin from Beaumont about a year ago, were returning home from a trip to San Antonio with James Edgar Ronnins, 20, and Mrs. Onla Fay Ross, 28, both of Austin, when their sedan was struck broadside by a panel truck according to Sheriff W.A. Scholl of Comal county, who investigated. All four were instantly killed. William Jasper Danbridge, 50, of Dallas, driver of the truck, was treated at New Braunfels hospital for cuts and bruises. The couple are survived by two children, Dorothy Lynn Eddy and John Wylie Eddy, both of Austin. Mr. Eddy is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Clara Eddy, four sisters, Mrs. Sue Odom, Mrs. Ann Monroe, and Mrs. Fay Hancock, all of Beaumont, and Mrs. Thomas G. White of Houston; a brother, Joe Eddy of Jasper and two half-brothers, James Bates of Robstown and Kinsey Eddy of Jasper. Mrs. Eddy is survived by her father, A.A. Thompson of Austin, former owner of the Thompson Furniture company here, and a brother, Floyd Thompson of Beaumont.
