MaryNell Harrison, 96, passed from this life on Sunday, Dec. 9,2012, at a local care center.
A native of Kerrville, Texas , MaryNell was born Oct. 25,1916, She attended Kerrville schools, graduating from Tivy High School in 1933. She also played tennis while attending Schreiner Institute.
MaryNell married Charles "Ed" Harrison in October 1945. She retired from the Veteran Affairs Hospital after 30 years of service, as the Secretary to the Chief of Staff.
MaryNell was an avid bowler and loved traveling to tournaments. She was a huge fan of the San Antonio Spurs and it was rare for her to miss a game on TV. She was of Presbyterian faith.
Mary Nell is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Chris Dean; grandchildren, Wendy Neal and husband. Randall, and Shane Pults and wife, Dawn; great-grandchildren, Bailey Willson, Brooke and Jake Pults; cousins, Sue Tune and Dane, and James Swope, all of Kerrville,Texas.
She was predeceased by her parents, A.T. and Mamie Adkins; husband, Ed Harrison and great-grandson, Cole Wyatt Neal.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Garden of Memories Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Chris Christopherson.
In lieu of flowers , memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or Relay for Life in honor of Coly Wyatt Neal.
