Died 23 Feb 1981
Wilma June Slaven Gist, 38, of Route 1, Oneida, passed away Monday evening, February 23, at the Scott County Hospital. She is survived by her father, Isaac Slaven, and her mother, Christine Slaven, both of Oneida; husband, Joseph Earl (Butch) Gist of Route 1, Oneida; two daughters: Tammy Joe Gist and Kammy June Gist, both of Route 1, Oneida; one brother, Raymond (L. C.) Slaven of Cincinnati, O.; one half-brother, Donald Slaven of Cincinnati, O.; two nieces: Connie Kelly and Sandy Sutton, both of Cincinnati, O.; one nephew, Raymond (L. C.) Slaven, Jr. of Cincinnati, O.; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 26, at the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Norman Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the Owens Family Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (Source: The Scott County News, 26 Feb 1981, p6)
