Raleigh - Mrs. Pearl Butler Williamson, 84, of 25 Sunnybrook Road, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 at Sunnybrook Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today, Sept. 18, at Grove Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Shook and Rev. Davis Benton officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery.
Mrs. Williamson was a native of Sampson County and the daughter of the late Owen Spivey Butler and Nancy Strickland. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church where she was an organizer and former teacher of the JOY Sunday School Class and president of WMU. She was a retired operator with Carolina Telephone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace L Williamson and a son, Wesley Kermit Williamson.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Chapman of Duncan, S.C. and Joy Croom of Raleigh; two sons, H.B. Williamson and Danny Williamson, both of Raleigh; one brother, Oscar S. Butler of Baltimore, Md.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 3 to 4 p.m. today, Sept. 18, at Grove Park Baptist Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
