Betty L. Headley, 58, of Washington died Tuesday, October 20, 1981 in Washington Hospital after being seriously ill for the past two days.
She was born June 7, 1923, in New Freeport, PA a daughter of Luther and Effie Kiger Phillips.
A 1941 graduate of Waynesburg High School and later graduated from Penn Commercial College in Washington,PA.
On May 1, 1946 she married James R. Headley who died February 14, 1976. She and her husband operated Headley Farm Machine Sales. Following the death of her husband, she and her son Larry operated the business.
She was a member of Liberty Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Larry of Washington; a daughter Becky (James) Herron of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren and her sisters Lucille (Dwight) Keller of Winter Garden, FL and Lois (James) Kite of Pittsburgh, PA.--obit Observer-Reporter
