M.L. (Pug) Bennett, 60, of Riesel died on April 2, 1990 and he was buried at Rosemound Cemetery.


Pug was a lifetime resident on McLennan County and a professional road builder for over 35 years. He wished to be remembered for the work he did grading and constructing road and highways in McLennan and surrounding counties. A resident on Waco cannot travel out of the city without driving on a road that was once a job site for Pug and his crew.

He will be remembered as a loving husband and father by his wife, Marie Bennett and his daughter Joyce Marie Kirk. But sweetest of all are the very special memories that he made with his grandson Henry Walter Kirk Jr, age 10.
