George Thomas Brandau was born July 21, 1862 to Adam and Katherina Brandau (nee Menges) in Milwaukee. On Feb 4, 1896 he married Anna Grunert in Milwaukee. They had at least 5 children all born in Milwaukee:

Della born June 21, 1897 (died 1953) married Henry Schultz, Herman Frank
Norma Emma born Jan 29, 1900, a twin born @ 9PM (died 1980) married Walter Beckman
Rose Marie born Jan 29, 1900, a twin born @ 10PM (died 1971) married Edward Kohlweiss, Albert Reinhard
George William born May 12, 1901 (died 1982) married Clara Ehlert, Amaila Reinhardt
Frederick F born Jan 22, 1911 (died 1991) married Alycia Paszek

George was a Tanner at the Pfister & Vogel Tannery in Milwaukee.

George passed away June 5, 1921 of a stroke. He was buried June 8, 1921. There are many descendants of George, with many named Brandau.

Burial card lists the gravesite as 16N, but there was a previous reference that he might be in grave 12N. The cemetery does not have a good map of this area. I believe Row 10 Grave 1N starts on the North end of this row, and counting from there 12 seems to be more correct.

Gravesite Details

The headstone is becoming buried. I believe there is more written on it.
