Athalie M. (Muse) Williams, 87, of Anderson, died Dec. 30, 2005, at St. John’s Medical Center in Anderson.

She was born March 20, 1918, in Fleming County, Ky., and resided in Anderson.

She retired from Guide Lamp Div. of General Motors after 31 years of service.

She was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church; Order of the Eastern Star and UAW Local 663.

Survivors include her son, Steven Alan Williams and his fiancé, Cindy Clendenen; a brother, James H. Muse of Perkinsville; a half-sister, Judy Muse of Rockford, Mich.; two half-brothers, Ronnie Muse and Frank Muse, both of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Athalie’s niece, Sheila Hosier.

Athalie was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Brown Williams who died Nov. 16, 1961; a daughter, Elaine Kay Williams, on Feb. 12, 1957; and her parents, James Hiram and Alma (Gaines) Muse.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, officiated by Dr. Larry Smith. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the South Chapel, and will include a 6 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star memorial service.
