Melba Rousseau Brown, 85, of Violet, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012. She was born on May 17, 1927, in Maurepas, Louisiana. Survived by children, Edgar Brown (Brenda), Sharon Borden (Al), Mary Fanz; grandchildren, Ricky Borden (Christy), Shelly Serigne (Tyra), Tiffany Brown (Robbie), Tammy Fanz, Tanya Phillips (Hunter), Charles Fanz III; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ike Turnage (Joyce); sister-in-law, Sis Rousseau; brother-in-law, Hezzie Graves; friend, Wilfred "Red" McCrory; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ferncrest Manor. She is preceded in death by husband, Edgar Brown; parents, Lillie Rousseau Turnage and Lawrence Rousseau; step-father, Hiram "Sugar" Turnage; brother, Mervin Rousseau; sisters, Gwen Graves and Alvina Rousseau; and step-brother, Teaurlin Turnage.
