Gerl L. Wilt, 80, 108 Silvers Lane, Portland, died Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born in West Virginia to Edgar and Virginia Mae Wilt, he served in the United States Army from 1950 until 1952.
Retiring from Westinghouse in 1989, he was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge, V.F.W. in Fort Recovery and American Legion Post No. 211 in Portland.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Susan) Kennedy, Goodland; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday at 10 a.m. at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Center Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post No. 211.
Visitation is one hour prior to services.
Memorials may be sent to the Jay County Heart Fund.
