Bartolo (Benny) Imburgia, 74, of Dongan Hills died yesterday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born in Manhattan, Mr. Imburgia moved to Brooklyn in 1956 and to Dongan Hills in 1969. A member of Local 856 of the International Longshoremen's Association, he was a longshoreman for 40 years in Manhattan. He retired in 1980. He enjoyed gardening. Survived by his wife, the former Josephine Abato; a son, Bob; a daughter, Geraldine Apollonio; a sister, Anna Tignetti, and two grandsons.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary's R.C. Church, Midland Beach. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
