The funeral of the late Mrs. W. E. Duren, who died at the home of her son-in-law, J. C. Hughes, took place this afternoon at 3 o'clock, with services conducted at the Hughes' home, 208 North Eighteenth street, by Rev. W. T. Ingram, of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, after which the remains were laid to rest in Oakwood cemetery (*see notes). The last sad rites were attended by a large number of friends, and there were many beautiful floral offerings. During her long life in Corsicana the deceased had endeared herself to a large circle of friends, and all join her loved ones in the sorrow that has come to them because of her passing. Her life was a quiet but beautiful one, and her memory will live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
