Bonnie Louise Stone 72, of Columbus, KS died 1:24am Friday
December 7, 2012 at her home following a long illness.
Bonnie was born February 27, 1940 in Cherokee County, KS the daughter of Onis Sr. and Josephine (Tracy) Tillman.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended area schools.
On March 13, 1963 Bonnie married Manford Stone in Columbus, KS; he preceded her in death on January 4, 2012.
Bonnie worked as a custodian for Central School in Columbus, KS for 23 years retiring in 2000.
She was of the Baptist Faith and loved ceramics, fishing, camping, gardening and most of all her children and
grandchildren.
Survivors include her children Jack Gearhart III of Columbus, KS, Steve Stone and wife Kim of Oswego, KS and Scott Stone of Columbus, KS; siblings Onis Tillman Jr. and wife Elaine of Lowell, KS and Shirley
Swartz of Girard, KS; grandchildren Autumn Stone and Travis Gearhart; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepfather Herman Fiechtl and siblings Ward, Bob and Bill Tillman.
Funeral Services will be 1pm Monday December 10, 2012 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus, KS with Chaplain Jeff D. Martin and Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Columbus City
Cemetery in Columbus, KS. Family will receive friends from 6-7pm Sunday December 9, 2012 at the funeral home; friends may call after 11am Sunday.
In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of sympathy
