BARRETT, Muriel Rose - 80, Truro, died peacefully in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, on Friday, September 12, 2003. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Rupert E. and Annie Lavinia (Comeau) Barrett. She was employed at Stanfield's Ltd., Truro for 46 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Truro. She is survived by sisters, Viola Corbett, Bible Hill; Alma Osmond, Truro; Kathleen MacCormack, Berwick; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Jack, Elwin and Ralph. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. today in Immaculate Conception Church, Truro, Rev. Ronald Cairns officiating. Burial in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only. Donations made to the Victorian Order of Nurses or Palliative Care Unit of Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro.
