Ofelia Garcia, 82, of Falcon Heights, Texas, passed away surrounded by her loving family December 6, 2012 in Mission, Texas. Ofelia was born in Salineno, Texas on October 22, 1930. Ofelia is preceded in death by her parents, Adan and Josefa Garcia; brother, Baldemar Garcia, sister, Mirta Garcia, husband Efrain Eduardo Garcia; and daughter Maricela Garcia.
Ofelia is survived by her two brothers, Mario Garcia and Adan Garcia; four sisters Gabriela Garcia, Benita Garza, Ofilia Garcia and Mirta Barrera; three sons Efrain E. (Rosa Nelia) Garcia, Jr., Noe E. (Beatriz) Garcia and Jaime (Sophia) Garcia; two daughters Mirtha(Raul) Garcia and Magda (Gilberto) Ramirez; Grandchildren Cynthia Longoria, Raul R. Garcia, Jr., Roy R. Garcia, Gilberto Ramirez III, Diana D. Chapa, Carlos Garza, Angela Ramirez, NoeE. Garcia, Jr., Jaime A. Garcia, Joana Lee Garcia and Ava Garcia; seven great-grandchildren Maykayla Longoria, Mackenzie Longoria, Amber Ramirez, Adriana Ramirez, Mia Garcia, Javan Garza and Arcadio A. Chapa.
Visitations were held at Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home in Roma, Texas on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM with the rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass was held at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Burial followed at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the family members and friends that visited and prayed for Ofelia during her time of sickness.
