Travis was in the Merchant Marines for seven years during WWII. He retired from Gulf Chemical after 35 years of service and was a member of Willow Drive Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Flo Dunn; daughter, Rhonda Harley and husband Stanley of Angleton; son, Robin Dunn of Danbury; brother, Joe Lovie Dunn and wife, Beth of Point Blank; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Stroud Funeral Home with Pastor Scott McKay officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Blue Water Cemetery in Livingston.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2008, at the funeral home.
