Sallie Ballard, age 89, of Route 5, Glasgow, died May 17, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
She is survived by three sons, Ray Ballard of Indiana, Kyle Ballard of Glasgow, Kenneth Ballard of Willow Shade; six daughters, Delia Propes and Odell Norris of Tompkinsville, Ruby Hendershot of Illinois, Jane Durrett of Summer Shade, Alene Shoopman of Willow Shade, Helen Miller of Alexandria, KY; one sister, Ada Wingfield of Smiths Grove; 55 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

There is also another son of Radford and Sallie, who died in infancy, James Charles Ballard, about 1925. (I am trying to find out where he is buried.)
