BALTZ, Johann Wilhelm; he died 30 Sept. 1916 at the age of 73 years and was buried on 3 October 1916 in Mount Evergreen Cemetery. He was born on 2 April 1843 in Sugar Loaf on the farm of his parents: Johann Leonhardt BALTZ & Maria Dorothea, nee DAAB. [His father died on 26 Feb. 1861 & his mother on 27 Feb. 1866.] He was married on 9 August 1866 to Miss Christine KROPP to whom 4 children were born. He is survived by: these children: Christine, wife of Ernst RIST; Louise, wife of Heinrich WIESENBORN; and a step-son, George DAAB. [Page 143 & 144 # 585]
