Youngest son of Richard Bladworth Angus from Scotland, and Mary Anne {Daniels} Angus of Montreal

David James Angus and Essie Muriel Stikeman were married on July 21, 1914, in Saint John the Evangelist Church, Montreal. The groom was 38 years of age, and the bride was 31. A reception followed at the residence of the bride's father on Drummond Street

James was a barrister. Not long after the wedding, James and Essie moved out to Vancouver Island, and settled in Victoria where they resided at 1617 Rockland Avenue

In 1948, Essie had died that February, but James was a widower for only 7 months. He died in Royal Jubilee Hospital of a cerebral haemorrhage, in his 73rd year
