Charles Larue Walker, 69, of Taylorville, died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday
September 14, 1994 at his residence.
Mr. Walker was born April 13, 1925 in Clarksdale, Illinois, the
son of Willis and Susie Hague Walker. He married Capitola Landers on
June 12, 1948 inTaylorville. Mr. Walker was a retired coal miner
from Peabody Coal Mine no. 10.
Surviving are his wife, Capitola, two sons, John Walker of Clarksdale,
Illinois and Terry Walker of Taylorville; two daughters, Kay
Walker of Taylorville and Lynn Brown of Ramsey, Illinois; 12 grand-
children and 9 great-grandchildren; and one brother Leroy Walker of
Taylorville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Walker and Susie (Hague) (step-
father Earl) Cook.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. in Sutton Memorial Home. Father
Martin O'Hara will officiate and burial will be at Camp Butler National
Cemetery.
Pall Bearers were, Greg Hager, Mike Lamb, Gus Mantell, Ron Flynn, Monroe Johnson, and Matt Workman. Honorary Bearers were Jim Watkins, Challie Landers, Harry Landers and Jim Barry.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
