L. Dorbandt Funeral Rites Pending Here

Funeral services are pending with the Graham Mortuary for La Violette 'La Vi' Dorbandt, 44, owner and operator of the Mission Inn who died at her home Sunday, May 18.

Mrs. Dorbandt had been a resident of Las Cruces for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce; treasurer of the Order of Eastern Star, Las Cruces Chapter No. 52; and a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Las Cruces.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, LaViolette Ann Martin of Las Cruces, Linda Gay Bruce, a student at the University of New Mexico; her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Parker of Las Cruces; one brother, Gilbert Porterfield of Lincoln Park, Mich.; and two grundchildren.

La Vi Dorbandt Funeral Service Set Wednesday

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Graham's Chapel for Mrs. LaViolette 'La Vi' Dorbandt, 44, owner and operator of the Mission Inn, who died at her home Sunday.

The Rev Robert Templeton, pastor of the St. Paul's Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery.

A resident of Las Cruces for more than 20 years, Mrs. Dorbandt was a member of the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce; treasurer of the Order of Eastern Star, Las Cruces Chapter No. 52; and a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Las Cruces.

She is survived by her widower, two daughters, her mother, a brother and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dan McKinney, Evan Guard, Garrett Maddox, Turk Reynolds, W. M. Stalnaker and Cecil C. Post.

The family has requested that persons desiring to make memorials make donations to the American Cancer Society. Flowers are acceptable.
