She was a homemaker, an avid quilt maker for more than 35 years, a long time rural mail carrier, a volunteer at the Donley County Senior Citizens Association, a member of the Martin Quilt Club, and a member of the Clarendon First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years on October 14, 1985.
She died September 13, 2004 at home in Clarendon, Texas.
Children are Stella Boatman of Davis, Ok. and Edgar "Eddie" Tipton of Malakoff, Texas. She also was survived by one sister, 3 brothers, 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Robertson Chapel of Memories on September 15, 2004 and burial was held in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas.
