Bennie Harold Heater, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Heater was born June 22, 1908 at Esbon, Kan., and died Nov. 24, 1971 at the age of 63 years, 5 months, 2 days.

He received his education at the Esbon public schools.

On Oct. 5, 1935 he was united in marriage to Ruth Bowen and to this union two children were born.

He came to Republic county in 1929 and farmed until 1947 when he began working for the Republic County Coop and was employed there 24 years.

About four years ago he became custodian at the Republic County courthouse where he and his wife resided.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Raymond.

Survivors are; his wife; one daughter, Darlene and husband, Arvin Tuma of Belleville; one son, Kenneth and wife, Alberta of Drayton Valley, Canada; two brothers, Lester of Lebanon, Oliver of Lincoln, Neb.; one sister, Mrs. Cora Brant of Superior; 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m. at the United Methodist church in Belleville with the Rev. John W. Frint officiating. Interment was in Union Valley cemetery.
