Mr. Janvier was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Leroy F. and Ethel R. (Reynolds) Janvier.
He belonged to Painter's Local No. 100 and retired after 40 years in 1988. He was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge No. 2.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harvey Janvier, Nevin Janvier, William Janvier and Edward Janvier; and four sisters, Beatrice Vincent, Florence Howard, Mildred Broccolli and Ethel DiMarco.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie A. (Murphy) Janvier; a son and a daughter-in-law, Raymond W. Jr. and Janine of Ocean City, Md.; a daughter, Yvonne M. Janvier of Middletown; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on July 25 in the chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
