Joan Marie Preston, born in Elizabeth, N.J., ended her loving journey on earth on July 28, 2012, at the Father Hudson House in Elizabeth, N.J.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Helen's R.C. Church in Westfield, N.J. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, N.J.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield, N.J. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginsandbonner.com.
Joan worked as a distribution clerk for Burry Biscuit in Elizabeth for 35 years before her retirement.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Edna Preston, as well as her sister, Margaret Healey.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kathleen Busichio (Joseph); Marianne, James and Kevin Healey and William Iracki-Healey (Christopher); also surviving are great-nieces and nephews, Casey, Lauren, and Megan Busichio, Audrey and Jimmy Healey and Thomas Preston Healey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her loving memory to the Center for Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, N.J.
