Linda M. Edward, born Oct. 1, 1946, in McGehee, Ark., went to be with the Lord, June 18, 2013.

She is preceded in death by her father, Buddy Engelkes.

She is survived by her mother, Leatha Engelkes, her husband of 35 years, Tommy Edward; six children: Joe Nolan (Stacy), Dobby Nolan, Danny Holt (Tina), Daniel Holt, Michael Edward (Shawn) and Kelly Edward; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Jack Engelkes (Cheryl); and sisters, Cathy Engelkes and Myra Engelkes. Blessed to be part of a large family, she leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. And last but not least, she will be missed greatly by her large circle of friends and her ever faithful Bebe.

Linda was a faithful, long-time member of Bible Baptist Church, where she regularly taught Sunday school and was also known for her spaghetti and desserts at church functions. A retired store manager, she later became an enthusiastic Mary Kay representative. Famous for her homemade rolls, oatmeal raisin cookies, carrot cake and broccoli casserole, Linda was a fabulous and creative cook. She also loved shopping, swimming and spending time in Florida sunning at the beach.

Above all, Linda loved her family. Those who knew her know she was a strong and courageous woman always there for anyone in need. She was known for her big heart and always had enough love for everyone. We will miss her dearly.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, June 21st, at Bible Baptist Church, with Dr. Vernon McGee and Bro. Eddie Kelso officiating.

Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Nolan, Dobby Nolan, Danny Nolan, Daniel Nolan, Jon Nolan, and Buddy Nolan.
Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Michael Edward.
