May 1943 - Funeral. An obituary published in the Idaho Falls, Idaho, Post-Register, on Thursday, May 6, 1943, Page 11 reads, "ASHTON, May 6. Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Hannah Wood Baker, who died of cerebral hemorrhage in Winston, Ariz., April 28, were held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the L.D.S. chapel, First Counselor Thomas H. Murdoch officiating.

"The opening song, a duet, "Resting Now From Toil and Care," was sung by Mrs. J. T. Lyon and Mrs. Earl Smith, and the invocation was offered by Brigham Murdoch. Speakers were Edmund Gooch and H. A. Hess, Yellowstone L.D.S. stake president. A vocal solo, "I've Read of a Beautiful City," was sung by Bruce Reynolds and the closing son, "Abide With Me," was sung by Mrs. Lyon and Mrs. Smith.

"Diamond M. Loosli offered the benediction. The grave was dedicated by A. B. Hillam.

"Mrs. Baker was born July 5, 1882, at Egin, Idaho, daughter of James G. and Hannah Baron Wood. She came to Marysville with her parents in 1900 and made her home in this section until two years ago when she went to Arizona to live with her daughter, Elsa Baker. She was married to Roy Baker on April 18, 1905, at Marysville by her father, George Wood, who was Justice of Peace there at that time.

"Besides her daughter she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Airhart of St. Anthony, Mrs. Nellie Burrell of Marysville and Mrs. Caroline Sanders.

"Burial was in Pineview cemetery under the direction of the L. T. Kiser mortuary. Pallbearers were H. G. Baker, Frank Burrell, A. O. Sanders, Everett Heseman, Harold Burrell and Charles Wright.
