Rev. Donald G. Mason, passed away December 2nd 2012, after a valiant fight with cancer. Don was born in Minatare, Nebraska in 1936 and during his youth he learned to love and play music. At 14 he was first violin in the Kearney, Nebraska orchestra. He served our country in the United States Navy. He worked for several large computer companies throughout his career and became a Methodist minister in the mid-90's. He preached at churches around Lexington, TN and Bay Springs, MS before retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jessica Mason of Raleigh, MS, his sons David Mason (Barbara) of Greensboro, NC, Darren Mason (Tammy) of Foley, Alabama and Donald "Wes" Mason (Cindy)of Raleigh, MS, his brother Gaylon Mason of Tyler, TX, his sister, Marietta Beasley, of Grand Island, NE and eight grandchildren, Samantha Lewellen of Foley, Alabama, Jonathan Mason of Honolulu, HI, Andrea and Olivia Mason of Greensboro, NC and Haley, Sarah, Aaron and William Mason of Raleigh, MS. We are blessed to have had this man of Christ in our family.

Visitation from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. December 4, Salem Baptist Church, Hwy 540, Raleigh, MS. Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. December 5 Interment Merchant Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Salem Baptist Church, Raleigh, MS.
