Benjamin (Harry) Augustine, 67, 117 West Louis street, died yesterday afternoon at the Veterans hospital at Wadsworth Kansas.
He had been admitted to the hospital June 10th for a heart ailment.
Mr. Augustine, a retired night watchman for the Quaker Oats Co., was a native of Savannah, Mo., and had lived in St. Joseph 50 years.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the McDonald-Dugger-Duncan, Post 11, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife Mrs. Elizabeth B. Augustine, of the home; a son, Albert Augustine, St. Joseph; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy DeFiesta, Kansas City; three brothers, Albert Augustine, Kansas City, and John Augustine, and Charles Augustine both St. Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Doris King, Agency, Mo. and Mrs. L. L. Fox, St. Joseph.
The body will arrive in St. Joseph this afternoon and will be taken to the Stamey Mortuary.
