St. Clair Shores, Mich. - Thelma Mihalic, age 87, formerly of Odessa,TX died on Friday, January 13, 2006 in Detroit Michigan. She was born March 21, 1918 Near Deer Park, Maryland. In 1925 she moved into the Fairmont, West Virginia area where she married George and raised a family. She resided in Odessa, Texas for 21 years before moving to Michigan in 2003.

While living in Odessa, she attended Highland United Methodist Church, was a member of the Sunset Country Club, and bowled at the Diamond Lanes.

She is survived by her son George (Sue) Mihalic, Jr. of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, son-in-law Dorsey Rushing of Granbury, Texas, brother Ronald (Evelyn) Brenneman of Fairmont, West Virginia, grandchildren Kelly Mihalic, Darcey (Jody) Estes, Robert (Heather) Mihalic, Jody (Ryan) Kriloff, Brandon Rushing, and Julie Mihalic, and great-grandchildren Isabelle, Samantha, and Matthew Mihalic.

She was predeceased by her husband George in 1972 and by her daughter Linda Rushing in 2003.

Thelma worked at the Westinghouse plant in Fairmont for 32 years. She enjoyed bowling, golf, bingo, and watching game shows.

A private memorial service was held in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Acknowledgements may be sent to 22500 Eleven Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, Michigan, 48081.
