"Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Bennett Baer, a native of Placerville and life long resident of El Dorado County, were held Monday in Memory Chapel, Mrs. Baer fied January 20 in a local hospital at the age of 82.
She was the widow of the late Max Baer, who died in 1941; mother of Mrs. Maxine Chard of Placerville and Mrs. Howard Fuller of Sacramento; grandmother of Diana Chard of Placerville, Nancy Fuller and Richard Fuller, both of Sacramento; aunt of Ernest Oppenheimer of Placerville, Mrs. John Hassler of Coloma, and John Bennett of Atherton, niece of Mrs. Gertrude Thompson of Placerville.
Interment weas in Union Cemetery, the Rev. Jesse R. Rudkin of Walnut Creek officiating."
Edith and Max had two children: Maxine and Helen.
Helen married Howard Miles Fuller of Sacramento, son of Mrs. Sidney Fuller, of Sacramento in Oct 1946 at the home of Mrs. Margaret P. Bennett, the brides grandmother. At that time her sister was Mrs. Thomas Chard.
Maxine and Helen's cousin was Penelope Riser.
Mr Fuller had worked for Bank of America for 10 years, (Helen resigned her position at Bank of America in Placerville the summer before she married) at the time he married Helen and had served in the Navy, obtaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
