George Gillen returned Friday from Pound where he was called by the severe illness of his mother Mrs. Nicholas Gillen. She has been stricken with paralysis and there is no hope of her recovery. Mrs. Gillen departed Saturday for Pound to remain for awhile to assist in caring for Mr. Gillen's mother.
Nicholas and Mary had eight children: George Washington Gillen, Mary Margaret Gillen Nachtwey, Julia Gillen Abb, Nicholas Gillen Jr, Jacob Gillen, John Gillen, Theresia Gillen, and Joseph Gillen.
