J.C. Nichols
CLAYTON, Ga. - J.C. Nichols, 73, of Route 2, Persimmon community, husband of Mrs. Opal Murrell Nichols, died Nov. 5, 1988, at Rabun County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Rabun County, he was a son of Mrs. Plonie Bradshaw Nichols of Clayton and the late Paris Nichols. He was a retired employee of Rabun County Road Department and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Towns County.
Surviving are mother, widow; sons, C.J., Jerry, and Ronnie Nichols of Clayton; daughters, Miss Evdean Nichols of the home, Mrs. Oma Jean Turpin, Mrs. Christine Gordon, Mrs. Barbara Sanders and Mrs. Sherrie Sims of Clayton, and Mrs. Darlene Gribble of Franklin, N.C.; brothers, Vaughn, Carlos and Creed Nichols of Clayton; and Worth Nichols of Greenville, S.C.; three grandchildren.
Services at 11 a.m. Monday at Hunter Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Milton Wilbanks. Burial in Persimmon Cemetery.
