Robert McCarley, 92, of Killen died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2014, from 12-2 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Bro. David McKelvey officiating. Burial will be at Ingram Cemetery.
Mr. McCarley served in the US Army during WWII. He retired from TVA as a carpenter. He was a member of First Baptist Church Killen and a member of The American Legion Post 11. He enjoyed playing golf, cutting grass, wood work, gardening, and working. He was loved by all and an inspiration to many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Slaton McCarley; son-in-law, Danny Peden; great-granddaughter, McCarley Grace.
Mr. McCarley is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Clemmons (Jimmy) and Brenda Peden; two sons, Robert Archie McCarley, Jr. and Troy McCarley (Charlotte); four grandchildren, Eric Clemmons (Shannon), Angie Terry (Andy), Sarah Keeton (Jamie), and Christi Williams (Tyler); six great-grandchildren, Katie Brooke Clemmons, Andrew and Carson Terry, Shelby and Colby Keeton, and Dalton Williams.
Pallbearers will be Mark Slaton, Tim Howard, Jamie Keeton, Tyler Williams, Andy Terry, and Eric Clemmons.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
