James H. Reddin, 84, of Hampton died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado. He was born May 7, 1928 in Calhoun County, Arkansas.

He was a retired school teacher and principal, a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army serving in Korea, and he was also a member of Camp Ground Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hampton.

Lt Col Reddin is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Reddin and Lurline Nichols Reddin; five brothers, William Reddin, Lee Reddin, Kirby Reddin, Fay Reddin and Bobby Reddin; three sisters, Mildred Bass, Nell Foster and Mabel Merritt.

He is survived by his wife, Emma J. Reddin of Hampton; one son, William "Bill" (Saira) Reddin of Cypress, TX; one daughter, Renee (Bill) Cosper of Salt Lake City, UT; three step daughters, Diana Furlow of Camden, Mary Thomason (Glenn Johnston) of Harrell, and Billie Launius (Jack) of Hampton; one sister, Ruth Blann of Hampton; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Camp Ground Presbyterian Church with Rev. Garland Skidmore and Rev. Clint Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow at Means Cemetery.
