Columbiana - Arch L. Brinker, son of the late Rollin and Opal Brinker, died at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio on December 28, 2010. Arch was born on July 16, 1928 in Lisbon, Ohio. He was a 1946 graduate of Lisbon High School. He served four years in the Air Force with the 36th Fighter Bomber wing. While stationed in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany, he played football for the base team.

He was married to the former Mary Wolz for 57 years. Arch was Postmaster in New Waterford for 28 years. He belonged to the Lions Club for many years and was a member of the American Legion of Columbiana. He served on the Veterans Service Commission. He was a member and former trustee of the Centenary United Methodist Church, East Palestine, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife Mary; three daughters, Dr. Debra Brinker of Dublin, Ohio, Kathy Kesling of La Porte, Indiana, and Marci Brinker of Orlando, Florida; and three grandsons, Tom, Dan, and Sam. Also surviving are siblings Don Brinker of Florida, Evelyn Stacey of Columbiana, Betty Harding of Lisbon, Ila Hall of Lisbon, Velma Covert of Salem, and Mary Molloy of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert Brinker, William Brinker, and Gary Brinker.

There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 31st at the Centenary United Methodist Church, East Palestine, Ohio.
