1880 census record shows the residence of Mary and Moses in Walton, GA. It also shows that the father of Moses was born in Virginia and that his mother was born in N. Carolina.

In 1864, Moses is recorded in the Census for Re-Organizing the Georgia Militia - ?8th Senatorial District, 281st Militia district - at age 43 yrs 8 mos and was a "miller."

Moses was a farmer.

The name "Polly" is a common name given to those whose Christian name is Mary, so that could have been the nickname of Mary Edmonds Young.
