Mr. Alexander died Tuesday at Valleycrest Convalescent Center.
He was born in Montana and came to Spokane in 1943.
Mr. Alexander was a machinist for the Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern railroads 31 years and was a member of the Machinists Union.
Survivors include his wife, Esther M.; one daughter; three sons, Rudolph P., Jerry R. and Alan J. Alexander, all of Spokane; one sister, Martha Posnick of Spokane; one brother, Vincent Alexander of Spokane; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
