Funeral Set

The funeral for John M.Love,71,of 146 Seymour street, toolmaker at the New York Air Brake company plant, who died in the Mercy hospital late Tuesday morning,will be Saturday morning at 8;30 from the Simpson funeral home and at 9 in the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Burial will be in Brookside cemetery.
Surviving him, besides his wife, Mrs. Louise M.Pickell Newsom Love, are two children, John M.Love,Jr., 12 years old today, and Louise Marie Love, 14, of 146 Seymour street; two step-children, William F.Newsom,404 Cloverdale apartments, and Mrs.Norman R.(Frances Newsom) Luther, Canastota; a sister in Latta,S.C.,and four half-sisters, three of them in Carolina and the other in North Carolina.
Although afflicted with a heart condition for a number of years, Mr. Love worked steadily until Jan.25 when he was stricken with a severe heart attack. He had been in the hospital since then.
He was born in Latta,S.C.,Nov.7,1895.He enlisted in the Navy when he was 17 years old and served until 1916.
He married twice. On June 10,1915,he married Miss Nina A.Zuller of this city in a ceremony performed at the Zuller family home here. She died March 14,1950, at the Seymour street home at the age of 59.
He married Mrs.Louise M.Pickell Newsom of this city,former wife of wife of Major William J.Newsom of Wilson, N.C., in 1951 in this city. The couple was re-married in the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart June 30,1955. Major Newsom had died in Germany in March,1954.
Mr.Love had been an employe of the Air Brake company plant for 45 years. Earlier, he had been employed in the machine shop of Lawrence & Hill.
