Randell "Wade" Compton
May 29, 1962 - November 29, 2012

Randell "Wade" Compton, 50, of Dallas, formerly of Big Spring, was pronounced dead Thursday, November 29, 2012, in a Plano hospital. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment followed at the Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery, in Greenwood.

Wade was born May 29, 1962, in Loraine, Texas. He grew up in Colorado City. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1980 and served until 1986. After serving his country he took on several jobs all around the United States. He worked as a plumber and on oil rigs most of his life. While living back in Big Spring and working in the oilfield, he met Gwynne Kay Bryant. They were married October 4, 2003. They lived in Big Spring until 2009 at which time they moved to Dallas so that he could find employment as a commercial plumber. In 2011 he became a medical gas plumber. He did plumbing in many schools, prison, and hospital during his time of commercial plumbing from 1990.

He was proud that he had the opportunity to serve his county in the military. He was given military honors at his burial with the Marines playing "Taps", folding the flag and presenting it to his wife.

His favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle. Riding gave him peace and relaxation. When he wasn't riding he was dressing his motorcycle. He always said "I will have another motorcycle before I die". And he did.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Compton; one daughter, Brandi Willis; three step-sons, Justin, Kevin and Terrell Belcher; one step-daughter, Kandice Belcher; his mother Marsha Compton Mann; his father, Jimmy Compton; his mama-in-law, Dolly Bryant; three sisters, Jan Sanders, Terri Pearson and Tracy Toland; one brother, Jerry Mann; seven grandchildren, Tye, Hannah, Jaycob, Tristan, Aislyn, Skyler and Hunter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wade was preceded in death by one grandson, Jayce Randell William Collins, and his father-in-law Billy W. Bryant.

Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
