Charles Franklin Bledsoe was born August 31, 1872, in Rantoul, Franklin County, Kansas, and departed this life June 4, 1925.

In February, 1896, he was united in marriage to Mamie Elizabeth Harrison. To this union were born ten children, Lola, John, Nora, Orval, Annie, Beatrice, Estelle, Lealand, Emma Lee and Vernon, all of whom are living.

With his family he came to Texas county in 1905 and homesteaded four miles north and seven miles west of Guymon, Okla., where they have lived until his death which occurred at his daughter's home in Guymon.

For about five years he has been subject to heart trouble and on the morning of May 28, he left his home apparently in good health and rode to town. On his way to dinner he had a stroke of paralysis which finally resulted in his death.

Besides his family he leaves a brother and sister to mourn his loss.

He was well known throughout the country and was a good blacksmith, running a shop in connection with his farm. He was a devoted husband and father and always good and honest in all his dealings with his fellowmen. He leaves a host of friends and neighbors who greatly feel his loss and join the family in their great sorrow.
