Graveside services for Mrs. Ada Earl Bartee McGuffin (1883-1957), 74, who died at her home at 328 Laurina Street, Jacksonville, Thursday morning, will be held in Oak Hill East Cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. James R. Crook, pastor of the Glynles Methodist Church, Jacksonville, officiating.
Mrs. McGuffin was born in Woodbury, Ga., and had lived in Jacksonville eight years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hastings.
Survivors include a son, Oscar McGuffin, Jacksonville; three sisters, Mrs. W. S. Sims and Mrs. J. L. Edwards, Manchester, Ga., and Mrs. B. B. Lovett, Woodbury, Ga.; one brother, J. M. Bartee, St. Petersburg. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Friday, 6 Dec 1957.)
