Every summer he would drive from Illinois to CT to pick me up for a visit and then return me again after summer vacation. He was the most easy-going, loving, understanding Father a person could be blessed with. We had many adventures, visited many places and he was always so patient.
Dad had many friends, of all ages. He loved to go visit his 'cousints' on Nantucket and he always made sure we could spend some time with that wonderful family. He loved vacationing in Hawaii but loved more visiting his kin and service buddies.
In his life he was a pilot, a motorcycle rider, a sailor, but most of all he was a great Dad and Grandfather and great Grandfather.
