Betty I. Hatcher, 69, of Onawa, Iowa passed away November 30, 2012 at her home in Onawa.

Betty Irene was born September 26, 1943 in Logan, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Vida (Waples) Hatcher. She grew up in Logan before moving to the Glenwood State Hospital in 1963, where she resided until 1968. She then moved to Mondamin, Iowa for 9 years. After Mondamin, Betty completed vocational training at Vodec in Council Bluffs, Iowa from 1978-1988, then moved to Ida Sheltered Industries in Ida Grove, Iowa where she worked part-time at Pizza Hut, Hulgren Implement Company, and two local banks. In 2004, she moved to Crossroads of Western Iowa in Onawa, Iowa where she was affiliated with the First Christian Church.
Betty enjoyed crafts, decorating, puzzles, going out to eat, and having her nails done.
Betty is survived by three sisters, Norma Mattes of Avoca, IA, Rita Hammer of Logan, IA, and Joyce Rieper of Omaha, NE; three brothers, James Hatcher, Dennis Hatcher, and Donald Hatcher, all of Logan, IA; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; and her friends at Crossroads of Western Iowa in Onawa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Kenneth Hatcher, Larry Hatcher, and Leonard Hatcher.
