Boyce Lamar Burel, age 89 of Duluth, died April 20, 2009. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth. Mr. Burel was born in Hog Mountain, GA and was a manufacturing representative with restaurant equipment all of his life. He was a Army Veteran of World War II and a member of Duluth First Baptist Church. Mr. Burel was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dorothy Lee Boles Burel. A loving, husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Judy Burel of Duluth, Tommy and Sharon Burel of Hillsborough, NC, grandchildren Ryan Burel, Monica Burel Zimmerman, Chad Burel, Laurie Burel Flynn and 11 grandchildren. The family expresses special thanks to Mr. Burel's caregiver, Doris Smallwood.
