Ellery Husted was a graduate in Engineering and Architecture at Yale University and later long time partner and accomplished associate of the Gugler, Kimball & Husted Architectural Firm before retiring to Portugal. Husted had been a Naval Intelligence agent during World War Two. Husted was the author of the true story "Baker Street Episode" which appeared in the 1965 Readers Digest compilation "Crime Mystery & Detection". Because of that story he was made an honorary member of the "Pips" Sherlock Holmes Society Club.
