His parents were, Jacob Abraham, and Frances Klein, both from Germany.
Info from His death cert. .
Another opinion.....
Hi,
I was looking up my grandfather's find a grave site: August T Abraham and saw that someone named Mary was requesting that his birthplace be changed to Poland.
August was not born in Poland. He was born in Germany. I do understand the region wasn't stable, but it was definitely Germany when he was born and when he left Germany. August and his wife spoke German in the home. He learned to speak English, but his wife did not.
I added the photo of August.
Thank you for doing such a terrific job with Find-a-Grave. I know it's a lot of work! :)
I want to thank Kathie for the message above, as this seems like a thankless job. The paragraphs above was an email sent to me. I am not here to judge who is right.
I only put the info. that I had obtained in my memorials.
I spent so many hours searching out this information and putting it in a note book, and then putting it on find-a-grave. I do this in hopes a few will be helped in finding their lost relative's .
